&lt;span class="postbody"&gt;the game balance of st is centered around the basic ships. This is cool and is a great thing.
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
so you can always use the basic ships and they go strong. but this makes the ship balance very fragile and for new ships - and so... many new ships , with cool effects cannot be added to st.
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
i think it would be cool, if you can add to any effect a  marker (for example !)
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
an effect with an  !  will not  work on a basic ship or building (fighter, destroyer, cruiser, shipyard, research center)
&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
with this we could add much more ships without sacrificing the game balance...
&lt;br /&gt;

this is a very dangerous two stage ship, consisting of a remotely controlled battery-drone and a very small pilotship that is equipped with cannon capable of launching a special photonic weapon known as a demi-bomb. when this ship gets its turn, it first fires a demi-bomb, halving the shields of one enemy vessel, before remotely launching the battery into the weakened enemy ship. the crew of the pilotship then retreat and return home. (caution! recycle!)

How about adding the ability to join up your fleets for attacks and defences. Lets say that some random alliance sets up a huge defence at the BH with 3 members and 3 shipyards. Alone noone can take that kind of defence, even a coordinated alliance would have trouble. So you use an AA, a combined fleet of over 10k of ships would be able to punch through(with massive losses).
&lt;br /&gt;
Or how about someone is AAing a player, you can AD it. This would lead to a colossale battle that would need tactics never before seen. Even a small alliance could rise to glory useing them as whips.

There would be restrictions however. The host af the AA or AD would need to be able to research the alliance members ships who where there. The host would need credits. You would also have to use an alliance members planet as staging ground(exept in the case of an AD at a colony or a score planet).

&lt;span class="postbody"&gt;Err not sure why unless there is a cap on how many ship requests you can submit, but I havent been able to find the Invent Tech menu anymore since I re-roled.. Instead it has been replaced by &quot;requested researches&quot; and it gives the description and a list of all the techs I have submitted.. I have credits so that shouldnt be the cause.

Does a modifier and/or damage carry over in a sub-battle?
&lt;br /&gt;

Example I.) Lets say 10 &quot;Intruders&quot; modify 20 fighters to be 2/1 AP/LP and the class 1 battle ends. If those same fighters were to go into combat against another of the enemy's classes, would they still be 2/1 AP/LP even after the subattle they were modded in ends?

Example II.) Lets say you have a fleet of 1 &quot;Destroyer&quot; and 1 &quot;Mothership and you attack an enemy fleet consisting of 1 &quot;Fighter&quot; and 1 &quot;Destroyer&quot;. Your 1 Destroy fights against the Fighter, getting hit for 1 AP but killing the fighter and starting the class 2 battle. Would your Destroyer go into the c2 subbattle with 9 LP or are all values restored at the start of a subbattle?

&lt;span class="postbody"&gt;I am not sure how hard it would be or if it is at all possible but I thought it would be interesting to add some new Syntax to the game. Of course it would have to be something unique that doesnt throw the game totally out of balance but it would also open up a new realm of strategic possibilities, if the syntax is original and adds to depth without being unnessary or overly complicated. It would allow the invention and possible introduction of all new ships that use the new syntax, which in my opinion, would breathe new excitement and intrigue into the game.

I had a couple in mind but I can only remember one at the moment, but, I invite you all to post any ones that you may come up with. I will edit this original post as new ideas come in and my own ideas come back or occur to me.

The idea behind this syntax is that is would allow a technology to half a ships AP and/or LP. &quot;Demi&quot; is from the Latin &quot;dimidium&quot; meaning &quot;divided in half&quot;. So, a &quot;Cruiser&quot; (100/100 AP/LP) effected with the &quot;demi&quot; syntax (targetting LP) would be reduced to 100/50 AP/LP. If hit with &quot;demi&quot; again would become 100/25 AP/LP. So it wouldn't be able to kill a ship. Maybe this could be more simply accomplished by adding a &quot;divide&quot; syntax alongside the already existing &quot;add&quot; and &quot;multiply&quot; syntaxes and would probably need some kind of rounding factor to avoid odd or fractional numbers.
