what about having allianz probes in the next round?
that means:
all probes you and your allianz members have can be seen by everyone from your allianz!
Of course only you can destroy your probes and send them out no one else!
So, what do you think?

Good idea, BUT only IF YOU have the option to set them private or alliance open.

AHHH!! you took my idea! I was goin to post something like that, but there is a problem with this. Bigger alliances have the advantage. |

He means that the bigger the alliance is, the bigger your com-lists will be. 10 members sending out probes brings you a lot more information than 5 members.
In theory, alliance members share probe data, anyways.

What if only one of these probes can be built per alliance and only built by the alliance leader (much like the mobile TWG)?

I like Nikolai's idea, but it should be one at a time, not just one per alliance, and the Minister of Communication(MoC) should build them |

Thats not a bad idea, to make it specific to the MoC. It can then be a specialized, powerful probe, like a cross between the investigation probe and the wide-scan probe. Warp 10 and scanradius 17. Since there would only be one per alliance it would not throw off the general probe balance.

scanradius 17 is too much, maybe 12 or 15 |

Shouldn't it be possible for the alliance leader to set a member loyal or not.
Loyal members have access to the shared probe info, the alliance-attack code and alliance probe info, mTWG coords. Unloyal members don't get anything automaticly. This is also very handy to motivate some new members to be active.

I like the loyalty selection idea. Instead of a general probe - I think the alliance probe should be like the dsp. Only it provides readout for the whole alliance. MOC in charge is a good idea.

I like this Idea, too, because to be MoC usually isnt very funny, except youre the Moc of Space Mercenaries, Inc. |
