|
|
I had a battle and the whole enemy fleet was destroyed (447 penguins & 1MS) and only 1 fighter of me and still having 319 points.(from MS-fighter,320-1=319), what happend with the other 447 points??
Maybe Im mistaken here, as Im a newbie , but seems not correct
And in the subbattle CL2 v CL4 it seems odd that the penguins are destroyed and no points and at a sudden in the sub battle CL3 v CL4 no pinguins but all the points?????
See below:
yours: 13 ships
class 1:
1 fighter (1/1, 1 MP)
class 2:
1 destroyer (10/10, 8 MP)
class 3:
10 cruisers (100/100, 60 MP)
class 4:
1 mothership (0/1000, 320 MP)
enemy: 448 ships
class 1:
447 penguins (4/1, 1 MP)
class 4:
1 mothership (0/1000, 320 MP)

Nothing wrong , the penguines recycled after your destroyer fought his mothership. this is the tricky part of the penguine . all is OK _________________ Greetz Connor

Hi Ed...Welcome
As Connor said, what happened is normal. Despite the fact the penguins were destroyed at the end of the battle, they do not count as score. Only penguins that died in battle directly go for or against your score.
They are designed to "recycle" at the end of battle and the points or MP used gets put back in the production available ready to be used again.
You will find many tricky ships in SpaceTrace. Many are supposed to be used in combination with other ships to get a desired effect.
It takes a while to get the hang of battle here.
Don't be shy if you have any more questions.... the game can be very confusing and challenging to a new player |

hi ed and welcome to the game!
to be fair you have to know something else about the penguins.
they only recycle at the end of a fight, when the enemy has a class 4 ships in his fleet.
that´s really important and i can remember, that i didn´t realised it at the beginning of my "spacetrace life" |

Sometimes, what's NOT said in a battle description means more that what is actually said.
For instance, in the battle descriptor for penguins, it says that Penguins recycle after the class 4 battle or something to that effect.
So...reading between the lines one can assume that if you pull out your c4 ship(s) from the fleet (mothership, etc.), penguins will not recycle and any that survived the initial battle will still be present to fight again.
BTW...you inadvertantly used a great defense against penguins that attacked you. If that stack of pengs would have come up against your class 2 fleet, they probably would have wiped you out scoring many points for themself off you.
This also illistrates how having just 1 ship in each class can protect your base from 1st wave attack.
Remember this : THE BATTLE ENDS WHEN ALL SHIPS OF EACH CLASS FIGHTS. In this case, after your single fighter fought against his 300-400 pengs, all ships in your fleet had fought so the battle ends.
This concept is important in fighting in ST. |

this isn't correct . your C4 must fight to let your pengs recycle and not enemy C4 . if your own MS fights enemy C2 you also loose the pengs _________________ Greetz Connor
