A pre-warp planet is maybe inhabited by a lifeform but the inhabitants don't yet know how to fly with warp. When a new player joins spacetrace, he gets a pre-warp planet which then turns into a warp planet.

No, that would be useless because the pre-warp fleets have neither got ships (as they can't fly warp) nor a shipyard or researchcentre. Some pre-warp planets have special functions like the black hole or techplanets (where you can find new technologies on; they don't exist in this round yet).
Pre-warp planets are just the planets which aren't yet in use.

@Actually Phil you can get technology (not much) on many pre-warp worlds.

I was wondering how to do this. In the manual, it says to leave msgs on the planet.

but bean in there u don't need to wait for 10 hours for the ships get to pruduct u can just get em (u need some free man power due)

At the moment there are no "goodies" at a planet... It's only when the admins decide to take a new ship into the game when a round isn't ended yet.

As soon as there are technologies on a certain planet you have to fly to it and park your fleet there and then you can start the research.

What a **** are you talkin about. Pre warp planets do have goodies. I was just flyin around with my fleet and i came to a pre warp planet (dont remember the name). I found a production center and 5 intruders there. PRE WARP PLANETS DO HAVE GOODIES YOU *******

Either way, what toxxic siad was pretty mean. And me personaly, i go crazy when the server is down, so if it's shut down, i might die, and beleive me, i don't want that.

@lord, there are some prewarp planets that have ships now!!! i haven't gone after them my self but i know many people who had!!!!
so make your flying sorcerer and go find some if you wish

Ok ok i'm sorry. I just was a little nervous yesterday. But the fact is that i did found ships in the pre warp planet. So i suppose Lords filemon is wrong
